The show is set to take place in the Capitoline Museums in Rome, the city where Michele was born in 1972 (yes, he’s 47 this year!). After high school, the fashion designer attended the Accademia Costume e Moda. Fast-forward till date, he lives with his long-term boyfriend, Giovanni Attili, in Rome. Likewise, Michele’s 90-strong design team is based in Rome, working from the Palazzo Alberini.
Instead of the design entourage decamping to Milan for the runway show, Gucci is bringing the world to their design nucleus this week.
